I’m not sure this is what the author had in mind, but… I have trouble with my eyes on occasion; they tend to collect dust particles. The best way to clean them out is to cry a little, but males of my generation were taught not to cry and I have trouble with that. Music can be really helpful with this as there are some songs that can bring me to tears. The best song I’ve ever found for this is Hank Williams’ “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” Also good is Crystal Gayle’s “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue?” and Willie Nelson’s “You Were Always On My Mind.” Strangely enough, I’m not a fan of country music, but these country songs affect me strongly.

No, I had never heard of that. That is fascinating though, because crying has been proven to be healthy, but I never thought that of connecting it with music.

I love the old country. That Willie Nelson song is one of my favorites. But I think the saddest country song is “Honey” by Bobby Goldsboro.

Thank you very much for reading!
