Love the article. One glaring omission – Angie Bowie. Never given any credit…so wrong.

Well seeing that you have 3 of the 4 Beatles listed, you might as well thrown in Barbara Bach into the list…….Ringo Starr’s wife (or are they still married). And also, I must please excuse myself and go the bathroom as I suddenly have an urge to vomit very violently as I see the Anti-Christ herself Yoko Ono on this list.. Remember, you must say this to yourself with a faux pas Japanese Accent. “ME YOKO ONO, AND ME BREAK UP BEATLES……HAHAHAHAHA !!!!

Boy, TOPTENZ.NET must really be running out of ideas for lists. What’s next? A list of the 10 top potatoes grown around the world? Even that would be more exciting then this list.

Every now and then someone comments they find a list boring, and I always say the same thing. Not every list can be interesting to everyone, so sometimes you will find a list that doesn’t stimulate you. It will pass and next week a list will be published that will connect with you and someone else will find that boring. So it goes…

The best we can do is provide a well-written list that the author found interesting and Heather has provided that as always. See more of her very interesting work: http://www.toptenz.net/author/heather

And if you really want to read a boring list, look at this list I wrote in this site’s infancy: http://www.toptenz.net/top-ten-hats.php – Now that is truly a boring list for everyone. Me included. What was I thinking?

Finally, Dennis I also ask for readers to recommend a top 10 list they would like to read. Got any suggestions? And I would publish a list on potatoes if you submitted it. ;-)

I may have been a little harsh with my comment and l apologize to Heather for that. But I thought the whole point of your site was to get readers to give their opinion of the lists whichever side it fell on. Many times I have said “great list” but I don’t recall getting a message from you about it. As far as this list it may be a generational gap—I’m familiar with Linda Eastman and Faithfull and Yoko,of course. But I have honestly never heard of the rest on the list. I realize that Heather worked hard on this list and I hope she will do another. Maybe she will do a list of the 10 best-looking men in the world. If so,I will be happy to send her my picture-(just joking)–

Dennis, there’s nothing to worry about. I don’t mind at all if you don’t like the list. It’s all in good fun and I appreciate your feedback. When I said, “thank you”, I was just joking around :)

I know some people won’t enjoy my work – that’s just par for the course. I still love writing for Toptenz, and the Toptenzmaster is wonderful :) I’m happy with the list – then again, I was born in ’71! :)

Dennis, I didn’t mean to offend. You have made many comments and we are grateful for that. Please continue in the future. I did think my humor was obvious as I included a list of my own for the chopping block.

I actually thought this was interesting enough to share. My dad is a huge music collector, books etc., and I loved to hear him elaborate on stuff like this! As far as your hat list, I read it… Sorta… I kinda just skimmed it after “Fez”, tho , haha… So thanks for that :)

My top potato would be the PEI russet. Something about it brings me back again and again.

I would not rank Ringo Starr or his muse in the top ten of anything other than top ten children’s television talking train themed narrators.

bigbottom : you have me laughing regarding Ringo Starr and he being the host of a children’s television show (what was it, Theodore the Train, or something like that ?) Not to sound cruel, but if a child is watching it you could say “Hey, you see that guy with a Train conductor’s uniform on ? He was the drummer for The Beatles and dropped LSD almost everyday !!!” Anyhow, there are still people out there who think that “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” is not a drug related song…..C’MON !!!! “Newspaper Taxis appear on the shore, waiting to take you away, Look for the girl with kaleidoscope eyes and your gone” Let’s think about it for a minute. I would also like to ask if your username “bigbottom” has anything to do with the song by Spinal Tap of the same name. Just Curious ?

THANK YOU FREDDIE : Thank You for clearing up the fact that Freddie Mercury was NOT strictly a homosexual but a bisexual. I worked as a Stagehand for 3 years and toured the Northeast part of the United States with various internationally rock bands and singers. My boss was a roadie for Queen for 2 years and traveled the world with them. Freddie Mercury was INDEED bi-sexual, however from what my boss told me was that Freddie’s homosexuality part completely took over and my boss said that it was so out of hand that when they would fly to a venue for a concert (the rock group Queen), Freddie would get off the plane and immediately hail a taxi-cab and would demand as to where the nearest Gay Bar was and would be taken to it. Here is another fact. Mary Austin (by the way, her split-up with Freddie was totally amicable and they remained very close right up to when Freddie died of AIDS) eventually became married and when she had her first child, who did she ask to be the Godfather of her child………FREDDIE MERCURY.

if I’d left out any of the beatles/stones muses, it would have been a real oversight, and someone would inevitably complain. ;) these women inspired some of the greatest songs of all time.

Don’t forget Graham Nash who inspired Joni Mitchell to write some of the greatest pop songs ever written (a case of you).

And Yoko Ono didn’t split The Beatles. The Beatles did.

@ lechuck. I totally agree with you with the fact that The Beatles did indeed decide to go their own separate ways (My earlier comment was a joking reference to Yoko Ono) as the fact of the matter is that I can’t stand that bitch. But truthfully, she had her eyes set on John Lennon for almost 2 years and was almost stalking him. to the point where Lennon finally succumbed to marrying her. So there is where fate comes into play. Had he not married her, 99.99% sure he would have been someplace else, and not at the entrance of The Dakota, the apartment building in which they lived and where he was shot dead. Did the marriage of Ono and Lennon cause the assassination of Lennon ? Its fate and karma all rolled into one.

Well Bebe had her fling with Steven Tyler, the lead singer of Aerosmith and 9 months later, out pops Olivia “Liv” for short. It wasn’t until Liv was in the 9th grade before she found out that Steve Tyler was her father. That to me is dysfunctional in a very strong way. So Bebe can be considered a sycophant. Steve is way beyond a multi-millionaire and their daughter Liv, I am sure has a few million in the bank as well. Pamela Des Barres is another one you should look up, another ultimate groupie (Sorry, but I cannot help by saying that these women are not Muses but Groupies). I worked as a stagehand / roadie for 3 years and yes, I have seen it all.
