    I read somewhere that flies brains perceive time as slower, meaning essentially they see everything in slow motion. Could help explain how they can change course etc so quick.

      Makes sense… as they are so small and have a short life span.

    I know my goldfish will swim to the top to look for food every time they see me enter the room, so, yes, they do have a memory of some sort.
