The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is a film that won more awards than the proposed sequel to the Shawshank Redemption, Shawshank Redemption 2: Taking Back New York, we highly recommend clicking that link, HIGHLY. When the film came out on DVD however, hundreds if not thousands of fans who bought the disk and eagerly tried to put it into their DVD player had a hell of a shock when the disk looked like this.

    At least it's in English.
    At least it’s in English.

The DVD was specifically made to look like this as the film itself revolves around a hacker and hackers apparently love watching really badly ripped DVDs. However, the move didn’t really work out as planned and as mentioned, thousands of fans were left confused as all hell, to the point they literally had to write a warning on the DVD case letting people know it was legit. Just soak that in for a second, people bought a brand new, sealed DVD and had to be reassured that it was genuine by a small sticker, instead of their own eyes when they put it into their DVD player and realised that it worked perfectly fine. Some people, eh?
