    Rudis

If a Roman gladiator kicked enough ass in the coliseum he would be presented with “The Rudis” a small wooden dagger that granted him his freedom.

A gladiator known as Flamma (AKA, The Flame) won this favour 4 times for rage murdering any one who stepped in front of him. Each time he was given the Rudis, he turned down his freedom in lieu of stabbing more guys in the face. Because The Flame, well, The Flame just really liked stabbing guys.
