I really never liked arrested developement

  • Appie Minari

    Buffy The Vampire Slayer

    • FMH

I don’t think remakes would count.

  • Hope Basoco

    I second the Buffy opinion.

  • Jeremy

    It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

    • I love(d) that show, but I don’t know if I could take an hour and a half of those guys. Small doses are funny, large doses make me feel dirty.

    We need a ‘Chuck’ movie.

  • Spocker

“Breaking Bad” was only supposed to be a 50 episode story arc. It is not ending due to poor ratings, but only because the producers want to end the series on a high note. True, they could have ended it with season 4 and I would have been satisfied with that, but it was renewed for a fifth and final season and it seems Vince Gilligan will end it there.

If the series ends like I think it will, I do not believe that it would serve the public to try and kickstart it.

A Calvin and Hobbes movie… Wow, are the people of this project trying to rip someone off? Are they going to return the money when it fails (I have no idea how kickstarter works there). I mean, every fan of Calvin and Hobbes would not assume but _know_ that there is no way to get Watterson to agree to that idea. Maybe they are planning on blackmail or trying to kill him.

Too true that. I cannot imagine how a Calvin and Hobbes movie could be anything but awful. No voice actor could come close the the Hobbes vioce in my head.

The whole thing would wind up being … adorable.

Doctor Who Movie? Any half decent Dr Who fan knows it wouldn’t work. So no.

    • But the question is would they pay to see if it wouldn’t work. 😉

How about Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash. I’m inherently biased becasue i love all three characters but this would be awesome. Bruce campbell might be too old though.

    • FMH

An aged Ash wouldn’t be a bad idea. It worked with other cheesy action actors.

Wish people would give up on Firefly. Got tired of that campaign years ago, as did Hollywood, they’ve moved on, as have the actors.

    • Here is the latest

Here is the excerpt if you don’t feel like clicking over.

ABV: So, what does this mean for Firefly?

Joss Whedon: That’s what everybody wants to know about. Uh, yeah. My fourth feeling when I read about [the Veronica Mars Kickstarter campaign] was a kind of dread. Because I realized the only thing that would be on everybody’s mind right now. I’ve said repeatedly that I would love to make another movie with these guys, and that remains the case. It also remains the case that I’m booked up by Marvel for the next three years, and that I haven’t even been able to get Dr. Horrible 2 off the ground because of that. So I don’t even entertain the notion of entertaining the notion of doing this, and won’t. Couple years from now, when Nathan [Fillion]’s no longer [on] Castle and I’m no longer the Tom Hagen of the Marvel Universe and making a giant movie, we might look and see where the market is then. But right now, it’s a complete non-Kickstarter for me.

ABV: I think you would need at least 10 times the budget of what the Veronica Mars folks are asking for their movie to make a Firefly movie make sense.

Joss Whendon: Yes. We come to Veronica Mars to hear her talk and hear her father talk. But Firefly/Serenity, it’s kind of a different animal — and then there’s also the question of what kind of animal it is. Because some people are talking about Firefly episodes. Some people are talking about [a new] Serenity. I think anything we could get off the ground would be appreciated by the fans. But what form it would take is I think under some debate.

For me, [Kickstarter] doesn’t just open the floodgates. God knows, things are cheaper now than when we made even Serenity. Good effects can be done in a different manner. Nor is that universe all about spectacle either. But it is a tad more expensive — and a little all-consuming! And of course, there’s the other fear: What if it’s not that good? I can do something that’s not that good — that’s fine. But if I do that and it’s not that good, I’m going to feel really stupid.

Because I’m too busy to deal with it, I did have a moment of just, Oh my god! I’m in trouble now. I’ve always said, “Yes, I’d love to do another one,” and it’s still true. But I sort of got slapped in the face with it. Or probably will.

      • lol

Joss wants another movie, Serenity lost money, the “fans” failed to support a relatively small budget film. Never mind how most of the actors who have established shows, except for Jewel Staite unfortunately.

Joss could probably bankroll it himself if he really wants it, just a matter of getting actors.

  • victor

dont care if they made all of the shows into a movie, I would never go see them dont like any of the shows listed.

  • LoLo

I know the actors are too old & too famous now, but I would have loved to see Freaks & Geeks for a few more seasons.
