Ever wondered what it would take for someone to convince you to murder another human being? Well you’re probably insane and in serious need of help, the latter of which we can provide by telling you that all it would take is a lab coat.
Scientists have discovered that we as humans are socially engineered to respect and obey figures of authority, however, our knowledge of what constitutes a figure of authority is wicked twisted.
For example, in an experiment conducted by Stanley Milgram, participants were asked to deliver a lethal dose of electricity via remote by a man in a grey lab coat (the color is important as it distinctly hinted that the researchers wasn’t a doctor or anything) in a run down office building in a shitty part of town. Almost 50% of people asked were willing to deliver an almost guaranteed lethal shock, simply because they’d been asked to.
Yeah, evolution may have given us all thumbs and the ability to play Xbox, but damn did it leave us shortchanged when it came to independent thought.

Your usage of the word wicked is very New Hampshire-y haha
